I started with an electrical engineering degree from Morgan State and spent two decades keeping networks secure and connected. Along the way I never lost the itch to make things — so these days I split my time between enterprise infrastructure and a growing set of creative, AI-powered projects.
The common thread? I like understanding how systems really work, then rebuilding them a little better.
From electrical engineering to enterprise infrastructure
After earning my B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Morgan State University, I found my home in IT — where the theory of how signals and systems move became the daily reality of keeping people connected. In local government, that’s meant everything from firewall administration to leading the migration of legacy Checkpoint systems to next-generation Cisco firewalls.
I’ve spent 20+ years planning, directing, and supervising the kind of work most people never notice — until it’s gone. Budgets, long-range plans, migrations that can’t afford downtime, and the training programs that keep a team sharp. I’m proud that the big projects tend to land ahead of schedule.
Then there’s Shineharder — my space to keep learning. It’s where I teach myself AI vibe-coding, social-media automation, and design, one experiment at a time. Tattoos, graffiti, and soon health and Brazilian jiu jitsu: different subjects, same instinct to build in public and share what I find.
